Just wanted to say how much joy LB brought me in my youth (I was ten when he passed away, so most of my enjoyment came after he was gone). The thing I liked the most abut LB was his words and thoughts (mostly) were not just trivial. His use of comedy to ask some tough questions was unique at the time. He was not afraid to ask them, and despite his failings personally, he stood his ground for freedom and free speech. I am glad I shared the Earth for some of the same time with him. Kind of like saying I was born before the space age,,,,, I was around the same time as LB.
Good luck with the RH.

Hi there,
my name is Nash Petropoulos, i’m doing my Master’s on Global Media Communications and i’m doing an extensive research essay on ‘Censorship and Lenny Bruce’. i already read tons of books on the 1st Amendment, read the most enlightening ‘The Trials of Lenny Bruce’, i’ve heard most of his work and i was wondering if someone could give me a hint about some US newspaper articles about him.
Thank you in advance
a huge Lenny Bruce fan
HI
I did an interview with John Magnuson, the producer of Thank You Mask Man, several years ago. I used to sell copies of Mask Man, along with the 30 min interview on ebay. As far as I know I was the only person authorised to sell on the net. I see you can search for Lenny and see the cartoon for free. Too bad.
Would you be interested in selling the interview on your site. As far as I know it’s the only new information on Lenny in the last 20 years.
Thanks
Dear Duane,
It probably would be a good idea. Lenny’s House needs all the financial help it can get.
Love, Kitty Bruce
Dear Nash,
I would suggest looking from the years 1956-1966 in The Chicago Tribune, The San Fransciso Chronicle There is some very meaty content, Love Kitty Bruce
